The Trent & Mersey Canal and its association with the pottery industry in the Stoke on Trent area is the stuff of folklore. Thanks in part to Josiah Wedgewood, The T&M canal was possibly the first of the 'super' canals.
What a great pleasure it was to cruise through this legendary place and see the relics of a bygone era. Sad to see the disrepair that has set in. Hopefully the powers that be, will see to it that these buildings and monuments are preserved.
