Any RV, fifth wheel, or travel trailer has its issues. But you don't have to just live with it. Almost 2 years now traveling full time in our fiver has taught us to make our camper better than the day it was built by the RV manufacturer.

The Problem
When Grand Design built our 2017 Solitude 310 GK fifth wheel, for WHATEVER REASON, put FOUR living room sockets, TWO kitchen slide sockets, the TV socket and the DVD socket on ONE 15 amp circuit. That’s 8 SOCKETS. To make things worse, they added ALL OF THESE SOCKETS to the REFRIGERATOR BREAKER, which should be on its own circuit. This made it impossible to use our Toaster oven in the kitchen because of this overloaded circuit.

The Solution
In this video I will show how I removed the Fireplace, added a Socket to the fireplace circuit and mounted the new Socket on the top of the TV Cabinet beside the location of our Toaster Oven. We wont be able to run the fireplace and the toaster oven a the same time but, we rarely use our Fireplace while cooking.
