Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Industries and his family can continue to receive security protection in Mumbai thanks to an order from the Supreme Court on Friday. In response to a PIL that contested the family's receipt of security coverage, a vacation bench on June 29 suspended the Tripura High Court's rulings. The SC ruled that there was no basis for hearing it.
Inquiring as to the petitioner's jurisdiction, the supreme court ruled that there was no justification for the proceedings to continue before the Tripura High Court, which is examining the necessity of the security. It stated that the family was paying for the government-provided security.
