External Affairs Minister, Dr S Jaishankar via video message at the High-Level Segment of the 55th Session of the Human Rights Council on February 26. While highlighting the persisting situation in war-torn Gaza, EAM Jaishankar said that terrorism and hostage-taking are unacceptable. On top of that, Dr Jaishankar said, “I assure you of my delegation’s full support and cooperation to you, the office of the High Commissioner, and all mechanisms of the Council. India remains committed to working with Council members and observers for the promotion and protection of all human rights. India's approach to Human Rights is rooted in our democratic principles and pluralistic approach.”
