You can now travel in European-style air-conditioned sleeper buses from Bengaluru to other cities in Karnataka and neighbouring States.
Ambari Utsav is the newest addition to the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC)'s premier services, 15 such buses have been inducted so far.
They will operate on routes such as Bengaluru to Mangaluru and inter-State routes such as Bengaluru-Hyderabad, Bengaluru-Panaji, Bengaluru-Thiruvananthapuram and others.
The buses have been procured from Volvo, at a cost of ₹1.73 crore each.
Each bus has 40 sleeping berths with panoramic view windows. There is ample headroom, 2 USB ports, air vents, reading lights and a mobile holder.
This Volvo Multi-Axle Sleeper vehicle is 15 meters long. They are built on a strong Scandinavian design tradition of safety, environmental concern and quality.
The bus has enhanced stability and control with an electronic braking system including ABS, engine brake, hill start assist, integrated hydrodynamic retarder and Electronic Vehicle Stability Control (EVSC).
