Join us in this episode as we return to the city where we first met, the capital of the German state Bavaria, Munich.

We catch up with old friends and learn about the city’s history from the Middle Ages to WW2 and we experience the flourishing and vibrant city it has become.

We also explore the medieval city of Nuremberg with its fortified castle before finishing up by one of the most beautiful lakes nestled among the Bavarian Alps!

Old Friends & Feringasee 01:57

After catching up with our friend Alexa at a local Biergarten we we cycle to a stunning lake on the outskirts of town called Feringasee 💦. We spent the afternoon grilling and swimming on the lakeside before cycling 🚴‍♂️ back at sunset.

Munich old City Tour 06:17

Some sightseeing and catching up with old friends! Starting with a guided historical tour of the old city centre by myself as a previous city tour guide, learning the history from the middle ages right up until WW2 including a stop at Mirandas old University, LMU.

Englischer Garten (English Gardens) 21:42

We check out the biergarten (beergarden) culture in the Englischer Garten 🍻 and float down the famous and terrifying Eisbach River! Thanks to Mikes Bike Tours for our transportation for the day, the best way to get around Munich! 🚲

Nuremberg 27:44

We took the opportunity to show Francesco and Anna around one of our favourite Bavarian cities, featuring various towering Cathedrals, medieval walls and fortifications along with a hilltop castle 🏰. It’s the perfect fairytale town to be swept back into the Middle Ages.

Return to Munich & Tegernsee 36:34

We take ine last look upon some if the most iconic structures in München, the city of monks.
A perfect last day in Bavaria wouldn’t be complete without Beer 🍻, an Alpine Lake 💦 and of course great friends. Exploring the spectacular alpine lake of Tegernsee with Roberto, Annika and their son Dante.
