Beehive splits and brood frame control in the spring build up and throughout the beekeeping season, being a swarming deterrent. This practise can be done in a variety of ways not just a 4 frame of brood Nuc, you could do many Nucs with those frames, thus producing mutable colony’s, even helping other hives with a frame or two of brood. By taking brood frames and bees from a strong swarmy colony, this helps reduce the amount of new hatchlings and encouraging the bees to build any foundation that you give them in the camber as a distraction.

There is always a possibility that the new Nuc created can swarm more then once, but that’s the risk with all bees, we are just there keepers.
