You must have heard a lot about Power BI and wondering what Power BI is used for? What is Power BI? What is Power BI Desktop? What is Power BI Service? Or even Why Power BI? Today we are going back to the basics, right at the beginning. In this video I will touch on the answers to these questions and more.

Power BI is a Microsoft ([ Ссылка ]) Business Intelligence tool that helps organizations make fact based decisions, by deriving actionable insights from data. Other Microsoft Business Intelligence stack aside Power BI are: SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), SSAS (SQL Server Analytical Services) and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).

Power BI is an advanced version of excel.

Having skills or experience in one Business Intelligence stack, in this case as listed above, Microsoft BI stack, can be transferrable to other stack. For example, you can transfer your experience in Power BI to Tableau, Cognos, or Qlik, etc.

I tried to make this video really short because it has a lot of words in it and terms to learn, so didn't want it to have too much information in one video.
