Better Engine Response And Acceleration. The Exedy Lightweight Racing Flywheel fits all the 96-04 Cobra, Mach 1; 99-10 GT and 11-14 GT Ford Mustangs. Engineered to be a stronger factory replacement and reduce the rotating mass, this upgraded flywheel results in a more responsive engine that revs quicker. Designed as a one piece unit to eliminate the chance of ring gear separation, this performance flywheel has been specifically machined to direct airflow over the flywheel and clutch to keep the temperatures down.
Chromoly Steel. This Lightweight Racing Flywheel engineered by Exedy is available in a 6 or 8 bolt option and is crafted out of a single piece of chromoly steel. Carrying SFI certification, this flywheel is approved for use in any racing application where SFI certified parts are a requirement.
Professional Installation Recommended. The Exedy Lightweight Racing Flywheel for the 1996 to 2004 Cobra, Mach 1, 1999 to 2010 GT; 2011 to 2014 GTFord Mustangs will take about 4 hours to install, but due to the complexity of the overall job and the amount of specialist tools necessary, professional installation is recommended.
