This is a reissue that commemorates the very first dreadnought guitar, designed by Martin for the Oliver Ditson Company of New York in 1916. As per original, the peghead is slotted and the neck meets the body at the 12th fret. The pickguard and rosette are the vintage design. The back and sides are mahogany with an Adirondack spruce top with scalloped braces, Brazilian rosewood binding, backstrip, endpiece. ebony pyramid bridge, tortoise pickguard.
