Trabant is/was a very recognizable (especially the 601 model) Eastern Block car. It was the third generation of the model, built for the longest production time, from 1964 to 1990. It has/had a two cylinder two stroke otto engine with 594 cc and 26 hp (air cooled). The car body was made of Duroplast - a kind of plastic.
