Navagio Beach, or Shipwreck Beach, is an exposed cove, sometimes referred to as "Smugglers Cove", on the coast of Zakynthos, in the Ionian Islands of Greece. Navagio Beach was originally known as Agios Georgios. On 2 October 1980, the coaster MV Panagiotis, crashed in Zakynthos Island on the Navagio Beach due to stormy weather and bad visibility. The ship was abandoned and still rests buried in the limestone gravel of the beach that now bears the nickname Shipwreck. Some sources claim that the ship was allegedly carrying contraband cigarettes from Turkey to Italy.

To see the popular view from the top, one has to rent a car or a tour bus, there is no public transport available. To actually step foot on the beautiful secluded beach and swim in the turquoise waters at Shipwreck Cove, there is only one way and that’s by boat.

In 2018, the beach was named as the world's best beach in a poll held by FlightNetwork with over 1,000 travel journalists and professionals participating in the voting. The beach was briefly closed down in 2018 due to falling rocks from the cliffs. Its picturesque beauty attracts many tourists every year.
