Off we go again into the Snowdonia Nation Park,North Wales and to the Welsh Matterhorn that is "Cnicht" easily recognized by its distinctive cone shape. We start our walk in croesor a small remote village where many many miners lived in the hay day of the Rhosydd and Croesor Slate mine and Quarry's,you have to see this remarkable area as it lies testament to the hard work that these miners did back in their day.Even just the construction of the inclines, tramways and the buildings were a major task in them selves that's before they started mining the slate for many a many houses roofs in Wales and not just Wales all over the world as Welsh Slate was known for its quality From the top of Cnicht you can see all this and a good proportion of the Snowdonia National Park. This was a mountain walk and we went equipped as always as the weather can change in as little as 5 minutes, and it did forcing us to abandon the walk although we had done the main part and reached the summit...so hope you enjoy our little trip
