Manuel de Falla (Nov. 23, 1876 - Nov. 14, 1946) was an Andalusian Spanish composer and pianist. He was one of Spain's most important musicians of the 20th century. Falla took piano lessons from his mother and later went to Madrid to continue the piano and to study composition with Felipe Pedrell. From 1907 - 1914, he spent some time in Paris where he met Clause Debussy, Paul Dukas, and Maurice Ravel. He'd eventually return to Madrid where he wrote the music for El amor brujo, arguably his most important work. He'd go on to retire in Granada, and then moved to Argentina in 1939 for the remainder of his life.
He wrote this piece in ~1900 at the age of 24. The 2 interweaving lines in the 3rd section (starting at 1:12) was definitely the most challenging part for me. I tried bringing out the melody as much as I could, but it still wasn't as smooth as I would've liked.
