In this video, we walk you through the simple steps required to program a Dorman key fob to a compatible Ford vehicle. This quick and easy process doesn’t require any special tools. We recommend reading all instructions prior to attempting programming. These fobs require communicating with the vehicle via its onboard diagnostic port, and Dorman makes that part of the programming a snap by including a patented programming tool.
Please note that the vehicle must already be equipped with keyless entry and have at least one key already programmed to the vehicle. If you do not have an existing key fob, you will first have to have a new fob programmed with a separate scan tool.
