We resume our journey in Gwangju, arriving at the 5.18 Memorial Park on a perfectly clear and beautiful day. I offer a brief explanation of the harrowing events that took place here in 1980, moments in history that still resonate deeply throughout South Korea, especially in light of current circumstances.

After our time at the memorial, we continue on our way to Jeonju.
