The Rev. Alfred Smith, Jr. of Macedonia Baptist Church in Ansonia was recently vaccinated for COVID-19 and made this public service announcement to share his thoughts on why vaccination is so important. Rev. Smith is part of the hospital’s volunteer clergy and visits hospitalized patients to provide pastoral care in coordination with Griffin’s Spiritual Care Department. He sees the vaccine as a miracle that will help us look out for each other and get “back to normal” as quickly as possible.
