In this video I'm testing the i7 4790k oc vs the Intel i7 9700k vs the Ryzen 7 5800X3D in different games in 2023. The Intel i7 4790k is overclocked to 4.6GHz. I tried to overclock it higher, but this one sadly didn't win the silicon lottery. When I overclocked it to 4.7GHz, it gave blue screens while doing benchmarks. The 4790k is already pretty old, but still holds up in some modern games. The Intel i7 9700k came out in 2018, it has 8 cores with 8 threads and runs on the 1151 socket. It has a frequency of 3.6GHz and a turbo frequency of 4.90GHz with a TDP of 95W. The AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D came out in 2022, it has 8 cores with 16 threads, the base frequency is 3.4GHz and the turbo frequency is 4.5GHz. The R7 5800X3D has a TDP of 105W and has a transistor size of 7 nm.
