He also pointed to declining battery costs as a major contributor to EV affordability, noting that lithium-ion battery prices have fallen from $150 per kWh to around $107-108 per kWh. The government is expected to launch the FAME-III scheme within the next two months, with a projected budget of INR 10,000 Cr to INR 12,600 Cr.
