Government wants an additional 18.8 billion if all the eligible medical interns are to be deployed to health facilities.
The Minister of state for Health, General Duties, Anifa Kawooya interested Parliament to take notice of the available 2706 medical interns who need to be paid 15,600,000/= each per annum.
Kawooya says even the available 743 Senior Health Officers cannot manage to supervise the eligible medical interns.
