On a rare rainy day in LA, we take a quick-ish journey through some of the city's densest corridors on the Metro Expo Line. Starting in downtown Los Angeles at 7th St/Metro Center, we make our way southwest before emerging on Exposition Blvd and disembarking at Expo Park/USC.
The Expo Line is one of Metro's busiest light rail lines and travels between Downtown Santa Monica and Downtown LA. It was last extended in 2016 to Santa Monica from Culver City. In 2021, when the Downtown Regional Connector opens, the line will be combined with existing Gold Line service in order to create one continuous line from Santa Monica to East LA. The Blue Line will also operate from Long Beach to Azusa (and eventually Montclair and possibly further).
