Scotland's Gender Recognition Reform Bill passed after MSPs approved plans to make it easier and less intrusive for people to legally change their gender.
Trans people aged 16 and older will be required to make a legally binding declaration that they are already living in their acquired gender and intend to do so permanently, to receive a gender recognition certificate (GRC).
