A demo for Oriollo Mangana 14" x 6,5" snare drum, with 6 different tunings from low to high. The shell is seamless manganese steel with absolutely beautiful light patina finish.
This is really interesting snare drum, quite different from any other metal drums that I have played. I really dig how it sounds at lower and higher ends of it's tuning range. At the lower tunings the strong fundamental note of this seamless shell really gives it lot of bottom end, yet the metal shell also provides some high end to help it cut through. Very nice combo of fatness and cut.
And on higher tunings the round top bearing edge helps to keep overtones in check and sound is more focused than on typical metal snares.
The drum heads are Remo coated Emperor on top, and Aquarian snare side on bottom. The bottom side tuning stays the same all the time, and is quite tight.
Tunings:
Very low 0:11-1:07
Low: 1:07-2:02
Medium loose: 2:02-2:57
Medium tight: 2:57-4:11
Tight: 4:11-5:38
Very tight: 5:38-6:59
