Today we're going to be taking a look at part number EM58518. This is the Erickson Replacement Adjustable Wheel Net. It's designed to fit 14-inch to 29-inch diameter tires. This strap is going to work as a replacement for 2" wide Erickson Trailer Cargo Control Straps for Tires. The 2" Replacement Tie-Down Strap is going to come with a 2" cam buckle that's going to secure the webbing around the tire. That's going to allow the webbing to be shortened or lengthened, depending on your tire size.

That's always going to ensure that the strap is in the correct location on large and small tires. When installing this on your tire, you want to make sure of a few things, basically three contact points. You want to make sure that your center strap is directly over the tire, here at the center, 12 o'clock position, and then you want to make sure that your side straps are about the 3 o'clock position and the 9 o'clock position. You can see, I have mine set just a little bit above those positions, and that's because when we would actually tighten this down, it would bring those straps down into the correct location on the tire. The cam buckle is a great feature. You can loosen that up. It's going to give you plenty of excess strap right here, so you can loosen it up or you can tighten it even more, depending on your tire size.

You will want to secure any excess strap that you have. That way it's not flapping down or it's not flapping around as you're going down the road. Nice, high quality when it comes to the strap, itself. Quality construction is going to guarantee that the vehicle hauling is going to be safe and secure. All the strap on the unit is going to be 2 inches except for the strap right here in the middle. This is going to be a 4 inch wide strap, when it comes to our center hold-down strap.

The strap is going to offer a capacity of 10,000 pounds when it comes to the break strength and 3,333 pounds safe working load limit. It's going to provide a safe, secure option for hauling. Then here on this side, I just want to show you real quick, it's going to feature the double J hook design. It's got a nice chromate finish on it, so it's going to stand up well against rust and corrosion, but a nice heavy-duty hook to secure around your anchor point. The plain end of the strap on this side would feed through a ratchet mechanism on your tow dolly or trailer or whatever application you have it on. Your ratchet mechanism is going to be sold separately, if you don't already have one. That's going to do it for our review of part number EM58518.
