A sales station has been set up at Mahane Yehuda Market as part of efforts to collect food and treats for the IDF soldiers stationed in Operation Protective Edge. The initiative, organized in collaboration with Mahane Yehuda Market and the Im Tirtzu organization, focused on gathering a wide variety of food and treats to provide the soldiers with quality Shabbat and pleasant experiences that would help boost their morale. The primary goal was to offer soldiers more than just combat gear and to provide them with time to recuperate and relax in a pleasant environment during the days of their struggle. The activity received support from local residents and businesses in the market who chose to support and contribute food and treats to ensure that the soldiers receive community support.
