The conference was convened on Saturday 23rd October at the University of Manchester and was organised by The Sudanese Programme in collaboration with the South Sudanese community (UK) and the University of Manchester.

Dr Ahmed Al-Shahi and Dr Richard Barltrop (Trustees of The Sudanese Programme) chaired the conference.
