Let's start with a look at Twitter as a whistleblower has accused the company of lying about bots and security flaws on the platform.
That's right,... according to reports on Tuesday,... Twitter's ex-head of security, Peiter Zatko, says the company is "grossly negligent in several areas of information security" adding that Twitter prioritized growing its user base instead of handling those concerns.
The allegations come as the social media company and Elon Musk are set to meet in court on October 17th,... over the Tesla CEOs pullout of a 44 billion-U.S.dollar deal to buy the company.
Musk has accused Twitter of not being transparent over the real number of bots on its platform.
Zatko is an experienced hacker,... hired by Twitter in 2020 in a bid to improve security.
He was fired in January of this year.
Twitter has denied Zatko's accusations.
