This is a promo that aired on ABC for its Wednesday night lineup fr the night of September 20, 1978.
1. "Eight Is Enough" (S3 E3: "Here We Go Again" aka "Oh No...Not Again!"): All the Bradfords wonder if there is going to be a new Bradford; Tom (Dick Van Patten) is audited by the IRS; Joanie (Laurie Walters) begins talking to her plants; Nancy (Dianne Kay) becomes a telemarketer; Nicholas (Adam Rich) plays "post office" with a girl at school.
2. "Charlie's Angels" (S3 E3: "Angel Come Home"): The Angels begin some high gear sleuthing when a car explosion kills Jill's (special guest star and original cast member Farrah Fawcett-Majors) fiancé and she becomes the next target in this high-speed adventure.
NOTE: This episode marks the first of six return guest appearances of Farrah Fawcett-Majors, reprising her role as original Angel Jill Munroe, over the course of the next two years. This arrangement occurred as part of a settlement between Fawcett-Majors, ABC and the show's producers.
After the show's first season wrapped production in early 1977, Fawcett-Majors decided to leave the series, stating she never signed a contract, as well as the strain that shooting the series was putting on her marriage to Lee Majors, the star of the popular 1974-78 ABC series "The Six Million Dollar Man". Fawcett-Majors was then sued by ABC and the show's producers Aaron Spelling and Leonard Goldberg. After the legal battle cooled off, she signed a new two-year contract with ABC that would require her to make six guest appearances on "Charlie's Angels" between 1978 and 1980. Spelling and Goldberg then went on a nationwide search to find Fawcett-Majors' replacement. Cheryl Ladd was then brought onto the show as Kris Munroe, Jill's younger sister. She would stay with the series until it's 1981 cancellation.
3. "Vega$" (S1 E1: "Centerfold"): While not the pilot movie, this is the first episode that aired of this 1978-81 detective series that was also produced by Aaron Spelling, thereby cementing his nearly 20 year association at ABC with numerous shows of his on the schedule, with critics derisively nicknaming ABC as "Aaron's Broadcasting Company".
This series focuses on Dan Tanna (Robert Urich, "S.W.A.T", "Spenser: For Hire"), a young private investigator who takes on many high end cases in Las Vegas,
When world-famous supermodel Shawn Adams (guest star Cristina Ferrare) decides not to renew her contract with her debt-ridden manager, the desperate showbiz agent concocts a scheme that will keep his high-paying client on board. Tanna and his associates investigate the model’s shocking claim. Will Sampson, Vic Tayback, Morey Amsterdam, Abe Vigoda, and Dane Clark also guest star.
