The Trinamool Congress has demanded cancellation of the nomination of Suvendu Adhikari, the BJP candidate against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Nandigram.
In a letter to the Election Commission, the state’s ruling party alleged that Adhikari, a former confidante of Banerjee, filed “false particulars of his residence” in his nomination paper.
