Learn how to make cakesicles or cake popsicles like a pro! This step by step recipe shows how to make gorgeous & delicious cakesicles.
They're a great way to use up leftover cake layers, cake tops, or frosting. If you don't have any leftover cake layers on hand, I've included my mini cake recipe below which makes one 6-inch cake layer.
Cakesicle Filling:

1 Tbsp buttercream frosting
Cakesicle Coating:
2 cups of good quality chocolate, finely chopped or candy melts (550 grams)
pretty sprinkles for decorating - optional
Recommended Equipment:

Making These Cakesicles in Advance:
If stored in an airtight container or individual wrapped, these cakesicles last:
- up to 3 days at room temperature
- up to 1 week in the fridge
- up to 1 month in the freezer
