The Gold Coast weather was spectacular today, so I ventured right out the back of Currumbin Valley to the stunning rainforest and waterfalls, and found a secluded spot in the creek bed. Surrounded by beautiful running water and an ancient rainforest setting, I set up my tripod easel and painted a tranquil afternoon scene in watercolor.
This is easily one of the most stunning spots in South East Queensland.
My setup:
Painted on Saunders Waterford 300 GSM Rough paper, with Daniel Smith and Schminke pigments on a Holbein 500 metal palette.
I use a Manfrotto 190Go! Tripod, with a custom-made left-handed easel.
