Hello and welcome to Train Simulator Classic!
In today's episode of Train Simulator Classic we're going to be taking the Armstrong Powerhouse enhanced Class 158 (Cummins engine) from Leeds to Marsden. This is a Northern Rail service which operated on a Sunday in 2007, which is an extended version of the Leeds - Huddersfield stopping trains.
Our unit today is 158 795, an ex Central Trains unit which has come to Northern in the past few years. With so many cascaded units left right and centre, the railways of the North are awash with colour, and there's plenty of interesting sights to be seen!
