Lee Canyon is located just 50 miles outside Las Vegas and offers a reprieve from the hot summer temperatures experienced in town. A short drive can transport you to cooler weather in the Spring Mountain National Recreation Area, where trees and wildlife abound. We were pleased to see wildflowers and wild horses grazing in the Lower Lee Meadows on our way to the Lee Canyon Ski and Snowboard Resort. Once at the resort, we enjoyed some of the budget and family-friendly activities like Cornhole before jumping on the scenic chair lift for a bird's eye view of the breathtaking scenery. Archery and Disc Golf are available for a small fee and the chair lift was very affordable at $8 per adult, $5 per youth and kids 5 and under FREE. Pets are welcome in the summer months and parking is also FREE this time of year! The cafe was open and offering outdoor seating so guests could relish the great outdoors! We visited August, 2020. They are open Friday thru Sunday; I hope you make the time to relax and visit Lee Canyon soon!
