The Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Wednesday wrote to the Election Commission of India and filed a complaint against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing it of distributing cash coupons worth Rs 1,000 each among people to lure them to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi's election rally and vote for the BJP. Citing a news report, the TMC in its complaint alleged that prior to the April 1 rally of PM Modi in Raidighi assembly seat, the BJP printed cash coupons, each carrying a value of Rs 1,000, and distributed them among locals.
