As per the latest news on Mirror Now, jet fuel witnessed the steepest ever hike which is about 18 percent. Indigo, in fact, urged the government to bring it under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) ambit. The price of aviation turbine fuel has increased by 50 percent since January and the situation has adversely impacted Indigo as per the statement that was issued by the airline. The increase which is the sixth straight this year led to prices soaring past the Rs. 1 lakh/ kilolitre mark for the first time ever. Falling Russia's invasion of Ukraine oil prices have skyrocketed in March alone. They have surged about 35 percent.
