Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Surat as he began his two-day visit to Gujarat today. He is scheduled to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects in several districts of the state. The Prime Minister will inaugurate projects worth around Rs 29,000 crore in programmes spread across Surat, Bhavnagar, Ahmedabad and Ambaji, said Prime Minister’s Office. The inauguration and foundation stone of these wide-ranging developmental projects reflect the commitment of the Prime Minister to develop world class infrastructure, enhance urban mobility and improve multi-modal connectivity.
