As with all "Bluemotion" engines this car is lean and green but it also serves up all the performance you could wish for and is mated to the smooth 6 speed transmission which is a joy to use. With ABS brakes and ESP stability control the GT is one of the best handling family cars on the market. If you want performance and style, but also want a car that is economical and highly practical you will not find a better car than this. Golfs are a car that are often imitated but never equalled in terms of the total package and this GT Bluemotion is, in my opinion, the best all-rounders money can buy. This car has all the performance and comfort to be worthy of the GT badge, yet in the real world it is as cheap to run as a Prius. The gear change on the 6 speed gearbox is slick and very smooth, the steering well weighted and precise. The Golf feels powerful and quick witted.
