The Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at UIC has a strong focus on Neuroscience, as well as neurobiology and neurodegenerative diseases. This key strength is leading to some cutting-edge research that's leading to advances that may some day find a cure for devastating diseases such as Alzheimer's, Huntington's and Parkinson's.
