Temples are a place for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to worship, pray, and participate in sacred ceremonies called ordinances. One of these ordinances is baptism for the dead. These baptisms performed on behalf of our ancestors make it possible for those who didn’t have the opportunity to be baptized on earth to accept Jesus, too.
