Ive been adding a bit of ascorbyl palmitate powder for my morning face oil for a bit. Ascorbyl palmitate, an ester of ascorbic acid, is oil soluble and used very often in sunscreens and skin care BECAUSE its oil soluble and such a good antioxidant. BUT apparently a study found it to be harmful when interacting with sun rays. SO... Im switching back to ascorbic acid mixed in my hand for morning antioxidant treatment. What do you think about this? Could this be an anomaly study? because it is sure used a lot. super bummed because i loved how it mixed with oil. Im still going to use it at night sometimes and seems fine to ingest the ascorbyl palmitate powder for antioxidant power
