Salim is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by N. V. Nirmal Kumar.
Plot: Two years after the events in Naan, Karthik, alias Dr Mohammed Salim, an honest and compassionate doctor in Chennai, faces jealousy from colleagues due to his talent. His suitor, Nisha, falls in love with him but feels neglected. After helping a gang rape victim, he loses his job and confronts the culprits, taking them hostage. Police try to capture him but fail. Nisha convinces them of Salim's innocence. Realizing he's targeted by a powerful politician, Salim escapes, outwitting them and saving Nisha. He sacrifices himself to ensure her safety, leaving his enemies to believe he died in an automobile accident.
