BJIFF COMMITTEE AND ECI CELEBRATE THEIR SUCCESS AND PARTNERSHIP AT THE 70TH VENICE FILM
VIP PARTY TO BE HELD AT THE UPCOMING VENICE FILM FESTIVAL
Beijing/Paris, Aug 28th, 2013: BJIFF and festival partner ECI will welcome over 200 honored guests, including A-List Chinese film talent, industry VIP's from across the world, journalists and Venice Film Festival representatives, at a cocktail party at this year's 70th Venice Film Festival. The event will be hosted by Zhao Zhiyong, Executive Deputy Secretary General of the Organizing Committee of the Beijing International Film Festival, and Vincent Fischer, CEO of ECI, at the Hotel Danieli on August 31st, from 7-10pm. Invitation-only party guests will include acclaimed actor/writer/director and China's representative on the festival Jury, Jiang Wen (LET THE BULLETS FLY, THE SUN ALSO RISES) and director Peter Chan (DRAGON, THE WARLORDS).
At this special Venice Film Festival event, Zhao Zhiyong, will welcome filmmakers from around the world to attend the 4th Beijing International Film Festival in 2014. Next year's Beijing Festival will focus on the internationalization concept of "Share the Screen, Shape the Future." Attracting major studios and film industry professionals, the Beijing festival will create a superior platform for the exhibition of projects and a high-end marketplace with the goal of achieving an international-level brand with quality service. The BJIFF is on the road to becoming one of the leading international film festivals and markets in the world.
ECI and BJIFF's continued alliance at the Venice Festival demonstrates ECI's continued growth and influence in the entertainment industry. ECI has announced a long-term partnership with producer Tim He (IP MAN 2, BODYGUARDS AND ASSASSINS) and his production outfit, Hoper Media. ECI has already started to work with He on a French/Chinese co-production, with both parties aiming to take this collaboration to a new level. This will serve as a framework for future projects, and an example of ECI's reputation as a reliable and influential partner for Chinese producers looking to develop co-production deals. ECI continues to develop a network of European, Chinese and American producers to achieve international co-productions, distinguishing the company as a true force in the entertainment world.
