👉 Aditya Birla Sun Life Equity Fund

The Aditya Birla Sun Life Equity Fund is a multi-cap fund which is one of the oldest schemes in India’s mutual fund industry. This scheme was launched in 1998 and over the years, has garnered over 9,600 crores. The salient features of this scheme are:
- The ABSL Equity fund has a 65-70% allocation to large-cap companies with the balance going to mid-cap and small-cap stocks. The Aditya Birla Sun Life Tax Relief 96 fund is an ELSS (equity-linked savings scheme) fund that helps investors save taxes. The money invested in this fund qualifies for tax benefits under Section 80C of the Income Tax Act. Here are the key points from this fund:
- The Aditya Birla tax saving fund was launched in 1996 and today has an AUM of over 9,100 crores
- Unlike other tax saving mutual funds, the Aditya Birla Sun Life Tax Relief 96 fund is not large-cap heavy with only 40-45% of assets going to the large companies and 45-52% invested in mid-cap stocks. As a result, investors might see higher volatility in the short to medium term.

- Over 80% of the scheme assets are in AAA and A1+ rated papers thereby keeping the credit risk low. The scheme’s lending duration too is on the low side which means the interest rate sensitivity is low thereby avoiding interest rate risks
- The 3-year returns of this fund are 7.72% which is better than the category and benchmark returns

👉 Aditya Birla Sun Life Corporate Bond Fund

The ABSL Corporate Bond fund was launched in 1997 and today has an AUM of over 20,000 crores. Here are some key points you should know:
- This fund has 90% of its assets in AAA and likewise related papers which keeps the credit risk under control
- The fund has delivered returns of 8.9% in the last three years. And has beaten the benchmark and category returns by a good margin over the last few years
