How to Easily Fix GoPro Not Charging or Turning On
Disconnect the camera from any external power source and remove the SD card.
Remove the battery, wait five seconds, and reinsert the battery.
Press the User-added image [Mode Button] to see if the camera responds (look for LED illumination, beeps, or a response from the camera's screens).
Press and hold the [Mode Button] for ten seconds if there's no response.
Leave the camera alone for five seconds and then attempt to get a response from the camera by pressing the [Mode Button].
If the camera is still unresponsive, remove the battery and connect to a 5V/2A wall charger (5V/1A minimum) using the GoPro USB Type-C cable.
Watch for the front LED to flash within five seconds (it's fast, so be ready to watch)
Let it sit for five seconds, and try to turn the camera on (with the battery still removed).
If the camera does not turn on, use a different USB Type-C cable and secondary charging source.
If the camera will power on, power the camera off, insert the battery, and again look for the front LED to flash and continue to step 11. If the camera does not power on, contact GoPro Customer Support.
Look for the front LED to turn on and stay on. The battery can charge for several minutes if it's severely depleted.
After the front LED has been on for ten minutes, remove the camera from the charging source and press the [Mode Button].
If the camera turns on, turn the camera off, insert the SD card, and wait five seconds.
Power the camera on and attempt to record a sample video.
If you cannot turn on the camera while unplugged, contact GoPro Customer Support.
