By Asmadi Games, Impulse is a 4X card game - Explore, Expand, Exploit, and Exterminate. Between 2-6 players control fleets of cruisers or transports to try to be the first to reach 20 points.The cards represent both quadrants in space and one of 10 different actions you may be able to perform if you have a transport there. Cruisers are your battle fleet. Each turn players add a card to the Impulse. This is a shared set of actions that the players may perform on their turn. While this game may have a somewhat steeper learning curve, once you understand the rules the game plays fairly quickly. The best way to learn this game is by watching others play, so watch, learn, and enjoy!
NOTE: Dad makes 2 mistakes towards the end of the game. First he skips performing the 1st card in the impulse, and then makes a MAJOR mistake in moving his scoring token (both are annotated in the video.)
