As a court sent sedition-accused Amulya Leona to 14 days in custody, the girl’s father has said that he will not fight for her release and even if she rots in jail. In a video in which the girl’s father is seen with men purportedly from a right-wing group, he says that he had warned her about her behaviour. This as reports also said that the girl’s house was vandalised hours after a video showing her shout pro-Pakistan slogans while AIMIM chief Assaduddin Owaisi was on dais at an anti-CAA event went viral. Meanwhile, Karnataka chief minister Yeddyurappa has claimed that Leona had links with the naxals. The viral video also showed girl shouting pro-India slogans after organisers of the Bengaluru event snatched her mic.
