Three hundred million jobs globally could be impacted by artificial intelligence. This is according to a recent Goldman Sachs research.
The impact would be felt in different ways, "Although the impact of AI on the labor market is likely to be significant, most jobs and industries are only partially exposed to automation and are thus more likely to be complemented rather than substituted by AI." according to the report.
At greatest risk of becoming replaced by AI are administrative and legal professions.
The report predicts 7% of current US employment being substituted by AI, 63% being complemented, and 30% being unaffected.
It also says AI could lead to a productivity boom, that widespread AI adoption could eventually drive a 7% increase in annual global GDP over a 10-year period.
We talk to AI expert Alexander de Ridder on AI's impact on jobs. He is the co-founder and visionary for inkforfall.com.
He explains to us in detail the development he sees for artificial intelligence. He says that one day AI could learn to use tools as humans do.
But he tells us no matter how advanced and sophisticated artificial intelligence get, there will still be a key fundamental difference between humans and AI.
