Pastor robert morris's book, the blessed life has received great positive reviews and critizism at equal measure. Most church leaders love and recommend the book to their congregation as guide for giving in church mostly, tithing. It is the same teaching Pastor Robert would use to teach Gateway people whenever he needed to raise money for the church projects. Some people have left Gateway because of the wrong doctrine of giving that Robert teaches in the book, 'The Blessed life'. They claim the teaching in the book is a scam, manipulative and unbiblical. Pastor Steve Leblanc said that, Robert's teaching on tithing was one of the reason he left gateway after 3 years as an executive pastor from 2011 to 2014. He says the teaching that you can only live a blessed life when you fulfill some conditions like tithing is a false gospel. He says you can give tithe faithfully but still experience lack, business failure, sickness, and death. Pastor Robert perverted the tithe when he said that blessings and curses are a consequence of paying it.
