Photographing a couple of LNER Azuma trains in some stunning Scottish scenery just south of Stirling, Stirling Castle makes a fantastic backdrop for railway photography. Running on electric all the way from London the LNER Azuma will switch to diesel in Stirling Station after running on the electrified section from Edinburgh.

I managed to photograph a northbound and southbound Azuma along with a surprise DRS Class 66 on a very early running freight train.
