There are 150 Kodama Locations in Nioh 2. Finding all of them earns you the Kodama Leader trophy.

None of the Kodamas are missable, you can grab them after the story via level select. If you have an accessory with the 'Kodama Sensor' ability they will also show up on the radar.

Every 5 Kodama give you 1 additional Elixir for the respective region on respawn (and each region has 25 Kodama so you can get up to 5 extra Elixirs for each respawn). This means instead of 3 Elixirs for healing you could start out with 8 Elixirs when you respawn. This makes the game easier so they are well worth getting.

These Kodama Collectibles are saved instantly when you interact with them. You can quit the mission immediately, no need to reach the next shrine, the progress will still be saved. On the mission select it shows how many Kodama you found in the mission and how many you got left.
